Today we moseyed up To Kansas. Well, we did not go to Wichita or Dodge City so we missed the Earp boys, but we did travel near the Chisholm Trail which was West of Wellington. Well almost near, but we were in Toto Land. Did not see Toto or Dorothy either. Jim had to go to Wellington to pick up the high rail truck and after that we went to their new Super Wal-Mart to pick up a few things.
The day started off with latte at Starbucks in Ponca City then we went to Kansas and ended with a Dairy Queen after supper here in the Ole Covered Wagon. Not allowed but we sneaked it in anyway. Once in a while you have to cheat a bit.
Looks like they will be looking for a new home here in Blackwell in the next year or so as the new school that is being built (and ruining my view) should be done by then. Who knows what will happen by then . if new contracts are gotten we(Jim & I) may be going there instead. I know There are a few interesting things brewing one South one North and one West so who knows. I'd love anywhere at this point but Blackwell. I am getting used to it and it really isn't that bad plus if all their dreams in Blackwell come true things here could improve. But it will never be home for me.
Well that's it for today.
BTW no adverse reactions to the Janumet today so maybe I was paranoid. LOL
