We are in Blackwell, OK.

Hi from Blackwell Oklahoma where the wind blows free across the plains. Interesting trip out for a change. We stopped in Russelville Arkansas around 6 PM Friday evening and had supper at the Flying J. Not too many Motor Homes on the road so it was easy to get a spot to park for some snooze time. Lucky us we got to park next to a semi who thought he was an RV (they do have their own parking area) and we got to listen to his engine and air compressor all night long. Since the last trip destroyed our generator’s muffler we had no air conditioner and had to open all the windows. We had to shut my side since it was right next to the truck and I still can’t figure if it was the sound or the stink that drove me nuts. I ended up on the couch instead of the bedroom section as I could open windows on both sides and get a breeze. Two of the kitties opted to sleep with me while Chessie took over most of the bed allowing Jim a small section. I spent most of the night trying to read with a penlight book thingamajig then about 3 AM Jim woke up and went in for a thermos of coffee and we took off for Oklahoma.

Things were going great till we ran into a truck accident on the thruway. A tractor trailer overturned blocking both lanes so we sat for a few hours. We got to Firelake Casino around 11 and went in to have breakfast/lunch and then spent some time gambling. I should say loosing. We gave up and wnet back to the RV where Jim napped and I read my book till about 6 when we went back in. I must admit they have done a great job as they have electric and water hookups and a nice spot for RV's and also a spot for the trucks too. The kitties were very content and settled in quite rapidly.

We then went back to the casino and had a wonderful dinner in the sports bar. I had a great buritto dinner and Jim a taco salad before we went in to gamble. We won and lost all the rest of the night and had a great time. The machine next to Jim kept hitting all night so today we went back and we got on the same machine and I moved around to a few different ones till I found one that kept hitting. Jim was doing great and I kept telling him to take it and run when it was over $50...he wouldn't listen and it went up and down for the next two hours hitting a lot. A lady sat next to me on a macine that I used last night and she started winning too. She explained what she was doing and I started to do the same as my machine was hitting too but I wasn't betting high. So I played around and my cents went to over $50 so I did quit when I had gone over the amount I had lost. I started on the machine with a buck and got $57 and change plus the $1 I started with wasn't mine. LOL They give you $10 after you use $10 for your first time plus as you go along you get bonus money so I was rather pleased with myself. Now these were penny machines I was using and their are plenty so I'm not the only little spender. LOL Any way I had $40 Jim gave me Sat. to use plus 15 of my own. I used $35 and ended up with $57 so I was happy and I had lots of fun today. I can't get the noise out of my head bing bing bing bing.

Any way we are now here in Blackwell and trying to figure out what is for dinner....later.
