We've been trying to get some things done before Jim has to go to Oklahoma again. The Orthopedic surgeon's appointment (that I keep trying to get out of) is scheduled for this Wednesday at 10AM. I'm trying to convince myself I don't need it. So I'll push it to the back of my mind a few more days.
After over a year now, we have gotten rid of the refrigerator that has sat on the back porch making the house look like redneck heaven. Tracy called and said T would be available Saturday with truck and they came over and took it to the dump. Every time Jim rented a truck I hinted it would be nice if the thing took a ride and every time it decided to stay behind. Tracy knew it was one of my worst pet peeves so she volunteered poor T Saturday. The three of them loaded it up and she and T took it off. Yipee!. Hurt of not I was out there rearranging and vacuuming etc. It's still not perfect but it is a bit more tidy. Thank you Tracy and T, I love you guys.
Friday night we went to the Country Club for dinner. Now wait, hold on.... get that swanky picture out of your mind. LOL The Waverly Country Club is a place of its own. LOL But the people are great I have to say that. It's also comfortable and they do a great Steak dinner on Fridays, for a good price. I've told you Waverly is DRY....no liquor by the glass....except at the Elks and the Country Club so you can have an almost normal dinner out. We went with Joyce and Rob and , Betty another friend and we enjoyed the dinner and company. Last night Jim and I decided to try the new Mexican restaurant in town Tequila John's. Even though they are lacking in a liquor permit for beer ( since booze is out ) the food was very very good and reasonable too. They are waiting for the beer license now.
Today we did the usual Waverly Cafe for coffee and cinnamon bun with Joyce then home to the football game after a short Wal-mart stop. Jim is now making dinner as I type. Spanish Rice his specialty. I spent the day trying not to sit but worked on my spare room cleaning it, hanging a curtain rod (thank you Jim) and washing the window. I had a window cat seat in the closet that Jim said wouldn't work LOL Oh yes it will. Shadow now has a perch to watch the birds in what I'm sure she is thinking is her room since she helped (yeah right) clean it. Still a bit cluttered but comfier.
All in all a good weekend.
