ah week two and I just figured out Jim will be gone for three weeks this time out. Not for making happy campers, for sure. It didn't come as that much of a surprise as they have a lot to do in Oklahoma. Then having to deal with any Government entity means hurry up and wait also. Both Jim, Ben and Scott had to hurry when the BIA told them they had to remove the length of track near the Chikaskia River where the bank had eroded in last Octobers storms as the Government had finally Ok'd the rebuilding of the bank and redoing the track. Yup typical government hurry up and wait. The guys broke their butts to get it done when asked as they were lead to believe the work was going to be immediate. HA! the work has not yet been started. Then one of the customers wanted their cars out immediately, which were supposed to be there a bit more....creating another problem as they were having ties replaced in another spot sooo they guys have been working around all of this . They have finally gotten the cars set for departure...now I'm talking like 180 cars give or take which meant each of those cars had to be found gotten out of where it was and put on the building train which would be divided into two parts to move.  If that wasn't enough they also got a new contract out there near Blackwell which means all of the engineers have to be trained to operate a computerized system. Coal trains will be delivered to the line then taken by our engineers to the unloading machinery which will automatically bring the cars through and unload them and then the engineer will bring the train back to the main line. So it has meant that the BNG crew remains busy. As for the EWG crew in WA. they too have been busy even with the lack of grain moving. It's called being diversified. Their marketing dept has been working all out on different deals for both of the railroads. They have come a long way since the company started. Jim joined as full partner in 2005 just before he retired and by Jan.2006 they had their first RR. company in Oklahoma while the parent company USRP worked other types of deals, among them consulting with various towns on the viability of having a RR continue etc.

It was all very exciting to watch. I used to attend board meetings but now only go to the annual one...unless I know there is a subject that interests me. The annual meeting is usually in Chicago ..so of course I go. LOL This year they held it around my birthday so I really lucked out.

As far as home well I have to say I do get very bored being alone. My graphics keep me as busy as I want..when I want but lately even that has had me unsettled. I just haven't been in the mood to create so It's kind of back burner for me. I have been very tired as of late and not sure if it's depression or something else. Sugar levels are eratic not high but not low either. That could be part of the tiredness. Supposidly Thyroid levels are OK so it's not that. I am finding though I sleep way too much. I do go to bed late but have always done that. I have been going to bed at three in the afternoon waking up about 7 then going back to bed anywhere from 9-1PM. Not at all normal for me. I seem to have lost interest in doing much of anything.

I also think hey  what do I have to do I'm retired. I envy my Mother and Aunts as they had a green thumb so they did a lot of gardening I don't have the interest though I would love to have one. Kind of waiting for cooler weather in the hopes things will change but for now there is no interest in anything.

My only link to the outside is my graphics group and I keep up with them but if my mood keeps up I might just take a break from that also.

I did do a few things this week...lol very few.....so far One of the things asked for was Gothic so I didn't do it. I find black gothis depressing and I have enough of that going on now. They did ask for a fall one so sigh thinking of my precious New England I did that and also a Vintage tag in which I used bits of my friend Ambowife's various kits to enhance it. I love heritage the most hate kiddie and gothic.
so here they are.
