Congrats again and good luck!!

what a surprise E-Mail I got this AM. I worked on this one all day yesterday. I had done the main part but couldn't settle on the tags. So with Terrell's help using Hello I settled on these and then added all the things I could remember like what bread cost 12 cents, gas 35 cents , Salaries were about $5,000 and you could get a great house for $11,000. I have good and bad memories of this time and unfortunately doing this brought them both back. But as with everything I do I've pushed the bad to the back and will only allow the good to come out.

The year this one was taken I must have still been in Grammar school as my sister Pat was there. I will do the other pictures of this shortly. It was Christmas and my Mom had won first prize in the door decoration. She had made a life size Santa opening the door complete with sack of toys, white fluffy beard and black shiny boots. It was so realistic.

I forgot all about blogging yesterday. Jim and I are all set up back in Oklahoma and things are back to RR time as Jim worked yesterday and has gone off again today. Things are going Ok with the BNG they have even hired a conductor and hey she's a she. her name is Terry and she has gone to school to be a RR conductor. She comes from a family of RRoaders, I did get to meet her thru the window this AM as they were leaving. Jim turned the alarm off this AM and the kitties overslept so we didn't get up till 7:45 a few minutes before Terry arrived. With the addition of Terry the schedule will be changing soon as they have a contract with a company where cars will be coming and going frequently and they will be earning some moola for a change. It looks so far that the boys (Jim and Scott) will each have a three week alternating session with one week overlapping. I don't know what that will mean for me as the three week thing caused a few problems this past time as it went into 4. We do have the RV back and running so as long as we can bring it I will probably go.

One thing is changing in my life as Terrell will be moving to TN next month and living very near me. The next town but the outskirts and it is only about a half hour. We are both the same distance from Waverly center and have already been thinking of revving up with maybe meeting in the AM for an hour of walking then an Espresso before starting our day of creativity. Hey while I'm writing this they just had a blurb on TV where a walk just twenty or 30 mins a day is enough to rev you up. Terrell's place in the country is on a nice quiet "flat" country road and will also be a great place to walk. Having her Alex and the boys near will make it much easier for me to stay home. You don't have to be in each others face, but it's the knowing someone is near that makes the difference.

I'm also excited as I have a digi convert. Yup, my friend Dee from Florida has been reading my blog and has now tried the digi world. I plan on helping her all I can when she is ready, but for now she is decorating her house in Florida so it will be in a bit. Dee is one of the fine friends I made when she was a patient at our office. She and her husband Paul are from Ct. too, small world.

In another part of the world, tomorrow but now, Tracy has returned home after her long vacation visiting Mom and son Chris. She e-mailed T and me this AM to tell us she is back. I was going to say business as usual again but poor Terrell will have her hands full as she prepares to move and keep up with her designing. Personally I don't know how she does it, she exhausts me. She is always going...designing and teaching her son Charles who is home schooled. Then there is John and significant other Alex and household things and now packing. I'm going to be exhausted reading about it LOL.

I have decided to really talk with the DR when we go in October as after reading some Thyroid articles I want to review my condition as I don't believe it is under control. I know my age has a lot to do with it, but I have other symptoms that shouldn't have anything to do with age. One thing to help would be loss of weight, but with the meds I have been unable to loose as much as I want. I've only lost 20 lbs and I still need to loose more than 30. I'm hoping that we can try one of the new diet pills. We'll see.

I guess that's all for now. I have to go into the house and set up some sauce for supper tonight. I have brought my large crock pot with me so that I can set it and forget it. LOL
