Yesterday was a mild day here, nice and sunny and the temp just right. We had to go to Ponca City to see about renting some equipment so not to waste the time we stopped at the book store for latte and coffee. In the afternoon Jim did take a ride up to Wellington, KS to see when our cars were being released and a few other things. On the way back he stopped at the old Jump-Start restaurant and found one of the old workers, Carolyn is going to re open it for John. She said she would welcome the train crew as customers again. (Kind of hard not too since John and Ellen own the place) I hear John and Ellen both are happy that she inquired about re-opening the place. She has already start
ed remodeling the inside and I can't wait to see what she does. We are all glad she's doing it me especially as it gives us somewhere else to go, locally.I have managed three Layouts with TerrellS new kit Fadingfall which just might be available as a freebie for National SB day on Nov. 3 at Moo Two Designs so keep your eyes posted. If you go there check my LO's and you can see some samples of the kit in use on my Last of the Mohicans series of three LO's. Heavy sigh.... I love that movie and watch it all the time. I never get sick of it. Funny with the reviews my LO's got it seems it is a fave of a lot of girls. ok , Ok here's a sneak peek. It has a lot of rich browns kind of rusty rustic looks. Since my photo's were kind of dark I used the lighter ones but there is one with the darker one two. I just love Daniel Day Lewis in this, sigh. Terrell seemed to think with three LO's of him I had a problem. LOL. She's probably right but I only like him in this movie. I have a thing with that era anyway any movie or book from then draws me. I think I was just born in the wrong time. It wasn't any more dangerous than now just a different time but I envy those who discovered so much of the beauty of our country. Too bad man has messed so much of it up. Well I read and watch this type to escape. BTW he by no means takes away from my feelings for Sam Elliott. (Big heavy sigh here) now that man can put his boots under my bed any time. Oh wow change the subject here.
Jim and Terry are off moving train cars today, as by the time he got home last night the BNSF had called to say they transferred the cars to us. So the two of them left early this AM leaving me to scrap two more LO's. Terry stopped in to meet our three kitties this AM, her part time job is at an Animal Welfare place so she is keeping us informed on baby kitties. I know we don't need another, but sometimes I think Shadow gets a bit lonely as Chessie seems devoted to TJ leaving her odd kitty out. Plus she is a great Mommie. I keep asking her if she would like a little yellow or black baby. Wish she could talk. LOL
I've started a pot of chili for Jim when he gets home so I hope it stays cool out. Oh wow they have returned so I guess I'd better go.
