wow almost a week

Time has flown since I last posted. I do try very hard to say something everyday but I got hit with a doozy of a bug. It started the beginning of last week with just a throat tickle and massive sneeze attacks which all stopped for a day and started up again and by Fri. and Sat. I felt like crap. The real word begins with s and ends with t. My throat was sore and my cough was keeping me up. The whole sinus thing and chest thing and nothing seemed to help. For about a day I thought my voice was getting ready to pack it in. That was my worse fear as the last time I got laryngitis I literally lost my voice for 6 whole months. I couldn't believe it , even while I could talk my voice would crack like a 14 yr old boy. Forget singing (like I could sing) it still won't let me do that. It seems like I have permanently done something to the voice cords. Anyway my voice didn't completely go this time the thing was content at just making me miserable. Jim was a dear through the whole thing running out in the middle of the night etc to get me things. He couldn't have gotten too much sleep either. I did fitfully but every time would wake up choking on a cough. Today is the first day where I feel like the human race isn't a bad thing. I'm still not sleeping and the cough comes and goes but I do feel better. I did do lots of soup and even mad Jim a nice meal Tuesday night but found I couldn't eat it. Last night was the same so I settled for soup again.

Jim got off OK for Oklahoma Wednesday AM about 3 and got in at 4 yesterday afternoon. He and Terry have a list of things to do and Scott has gone home to see his wife who thinks he's just someone who passes by every once in a while. Jim gets to do the Santa train this Sat. for Blackwell. Next year they'd really like to have a big thing of it If they get the caboose they want and it gets painted up. It would be cool to bring Santa down through all the small towns stopping at the larger ones for the children to see him. Since it's only a 5-10 mph railway right now they can't spend too much time as it takes 6-8 hours for the trip.

I'm still not up to doing any scrapping but hope to in the next few days. I've a lot to do here..the tree is up with just lights so I have to decorate it and the rest of the house. Then a lot of cleaning floors etc. I'm just not up to it yet.

later
