It's good to have the net again

Today was an interesting day. My friend Joyce called us last night and invited us to go out to dinner with some friends tonight. We went to the Waverly Country Club and had the best streak dinner since moving here. Dinner included a salad that was loaded with different lettuces, carrots, croûtons, bacon etc and a real good blue cheese dressing plus a huge baked potato with butter and sour cream accompanied by a huge T bone steak cooked to perfection. A vodka 7 and 2 bloody Marys concluded the meal. Most of the steak and the potato came home with me. There were 6 of us enjoying a great night of food and fun and friendship. We were celebrating the fact that our friends Joyce and Rob have decided not to sell their house in town and move away to Franklin. Joyce is a real card and her husband Rob is quiet and sweet. Joyce reminds me of a friend I had in Clinton whom I spent many wonderful hours with. The others were of course Jim , Marlene and Carol who I had met at Joyce's Christmas lunch at Our Daily Bread. Just like everyplace else in town everyone at the Country club is just as friendly. Tomorrow we meet for breakfast brunch and Tuesday evening they all are planning on getting together to play cards at the Elks.
