Tommy Chronicles continued

After a fitful night, Jim snoring me tossing we woke at 7:04 and hurriedly got ready to take Tom to the vet. The two of them were at the door waiting for me to bring out the chow and wondering how come we didn't leave their "snack" bowl full and the water dish ready. Jim put Tom in the carrier and took him to the car meowing all the way. I propped the door open so Pud could come and go and I gave her food and drink.

Tom was dropped off and they told me they were really surprised to see him as they didn;t really think he would survive. I told them he rested two more days but he ate and drank every day. Pud encouraged him the whole time and by Sunday he was his old self. We decided on just the Rabies inoculation for now. They took him back and told us to return at 2PM which after having coffe and coming back to check on Puddy and our own family we returned at 2 PM to pick him up. They cleaned his wounds while he slept and all went well. He was very quiet on the way home and he and Pud are now settled down he isn't supposed to eat till tomorrow, but we will see. He seems quite awake so we might give them a little bit later on. He , at last siting was basking himself under the heat lamp as he and Pud gaze out the door. Tomorrow he will be free to go and I do hope he comes back and perhaps even feels that this is now his home and sticks around like Puddy does. I'm thinking if he does at night after they both eat I will keep them in letting them out in the AM to come and go at will. Personally I will be glad to have life back to normal.
Tommy would like to thank his three Aunts for their well wishes. Aunt Tracy in Australia, Aunt Marcy in Germany and Aunt Terrell here in Tennessee. He knows their well wishes and prayers are what pulled him through. PS me too. We send them a big *HUG*
