more on Tommy

He is so much better. If we weren't planning a surprise for him on Monday, I'd let him free. His surgery appointment is set for Monday at 8:15 AM. I'd like to be able to really understand kitty talk and know what is going through their minds. Neither one has tried or asked to leave...yet. They have both relished the heat lamp...must think they are in heaven. They both come to the door and would love to come in but alas that can't happen. We'll see how the next day goes as it is supposed to warm up. Plan is to remove all food and water Sunday after supper, coral Tom in the AM and put him in the carrier, feed Pud and then brace the door open so she can go out. We can pick Tom up in the afternoon and after one night confinement here we will open the door and see what happens. u have a feeling I have gained two outside cats. If that does happen I'll have Tracy, my horse neighbor stop by once a day to leave them food. If we can manage to set some funds aside Jim and I have talked about maybe building a lean too (spelling on this) at least three sides on the back of the shed where we can put some kind of shelter for them next winter. I think though they come to us not for the shelter but the kind words they get. I don't think anyone else talks to them like we do and they bask in this. Even though Pud remains skittish she will follow me around the yard. She especially loves "to do laundry". She can be in the field but if she sees me come out with a basket of clothes she hurries over and lies under foot whle I hang or take down the laundry. Tom on the other hand is not usually here in day time but he showed for dinner and a nap but has alway announced his visits yowling across the field and yard as he comes. He remains an enigma to me as how can he be so loving and be a stray complete opposite of Puddy in accepting human comfort. How can someone have such a sweet natured kitty and ignore or dump him, this I will never understand.

Sigh some people have no sense of responsibility, never mind compassion. I am glad that Tommy has you two to keep an eye out for him, if nothing else, he knows someone cares about him ;) Hope the "snip" went fine ;)
