Well it's Spring in the hills and the Bradford Pear trees are in full bloom along with the daffodils etc. We did have our first "serious" snow storm which lasted about 2 days till it melted and we even had 13" in parts of Waverly. Quite a shock as we never get more than a dusting.
A few weeks back Jim and I both went to the doctor, me to ask about a new drug for me called Byetta and Jim regarding his weight gain of 30 some odd lbs. Jim has found our he is in the early stage of kidney damage caused by his 28 years of diabetes. He isn't ready for dialysis or transplant yet but will be treated with medication for a bit. He is carrying 30 lbs of water not fat and is on heavy meds for that. That explains his personality change and weight gain plus the other side effects it causes. The meds have been doing there thing and he has dropped 12 lbs so far and his BP is getting under control too. I sent him off with an extra George Forman type grfiller and instructions to stay away from the local restaurants so he could control his salt intake. He is into this and has been doing grilled chicken salads when he can if offered. Problem is, I explained to ,is how they do their chicken as most is probably from a bag and has high sodium. This has made him very food conscious which is coming at a good time for us both because of my change in meds, too.
I asked the doctor to put me on Byetta which has a side effect of loosing weight with loss of appetite, while it brings your blood sugar levels down. I have been on it for about 2 1/2 weeks now and my average has gone from 256 a week to 156 so it's a start. I am now fluctuating from 136 to 202 instead of the 280 and 340 numbers I had. As for weight loss only 5 lbs of scale weight, but I can see a big change in my clothes and the way I feel. I'm now full after only a tiny bit of food and food is not appealing to me at all. Not like "she" who eats just to eat. Now I can't eat, which isn't good either. I think my body now thinks it is starving and it's holding on to all the fat it can as for a week now I fluctuate at 199-201 lbs.and can't drop down more. It certainly isn't what I'm eating either as I no longer eat the real bad things. White bread and potatoes are a thing of the past. Salad and chicken have always been a major part of my diet so no change there but no cookies and candy either and the good thing is I don't crave them anymore either. Funny now instead of eating for the hell of it I have to force myself to eat really weird feeling. Enough on health issues.

I'm slowly getting into my scrapping mood again.Terrell has done a beautiful heritage kit that is available at Divine Digital , Time Passages. I've done two LO's so far with it.
