Jim and I are off to Oklahoma today. Outdoor kitties are set up with a kittysitter and house checker lol. I had to set their food up high and rearrange the porch in an effort to possum proof it. My friend Tracy will be here to check on them and when she can't T will. Tracy has been trying to get the horses acclimated for riding and has been busy riding them in the pasture. Brave girl was out there with Gypsy bareback the other day. Gypsy is a gaited paint. I didn't realize she was a gaited mare till Tracy told me. Tracy took her back up the pasxture from our place at a slow cater and it was a site...her Butt never came off the horses back LOL it was sooooo smooth. I'm hoping she gets her gentled and she lets me ride her. We have the spots here and it would be so cool for she and I to ride.
On a sad note....Joyce had to put Mayla down. It broke our hearts as the little thing just couldn't rally to come out of her illness and had really given up. She was a trooper through the past weeks of treatment. I thoroughly believe there was more going on than we knew. So it's with heavy hearts that Jim and I leave now as I really wish I could be here for Joyce. She has been such a comfort and help to me in the past months I just wish I could be here for her too. At least I can make her laugh as laughter helps heal. Those of us who have lost pets know we never get over it but as when we loose a person time does help. Those who do not have pets or a love of them can't understand those of us who do. They are our children and we feel that loss deeply. As for Joyce and Rob , Mayla was their first pet raised from a tiny pup so they will feel this forever. Her little soul is now energy and it has filled us all and will be with us in our hearts forever.
Run with the other puppies in the Rainbow Bridge enjoy the sun, little sweetie. You have good company there lots of other little babies to play with...be happy! You are at peace now.
