Exciting

I've been watching my baby on it's way to its Mommy. It departed Fontana,CA at 4:05 AM on the 19th arriving in Memphis, TN at 3:53 PM.....so she got to fly. She's coming UPS freight as a special most take 6 days by truck and if it wasn't the weekend she would have been home. She left 3:55 this AM and arrived in Jackson, TN at 5:37 AM where she anxiously awaits her truck ride to meet her new Mommy on Monday unless they move her again to the terminal in Paris,TN which is just 45 mins. away. I love being able to keep track of her.

I'm thinking of names for her, now. The jeep has a plate in front that says Her on it so she is a she. Now the scooter is a Lansing Duke 250 but I keep thinking of it as a her so I think maybe she will be a Duchess. We'll see after I get the feel of it just what it really is. Could also be called Baby since that is either gender and it is a small version of a cycle. I'm starting to get anxious and can't wait to see it. My friend Leeann is letting me have them deliver it to her place so today I went and checked it out. "It" will have a nice covered carport in the back of her house to sit in till Jim gets home to put it together and bring her home.

Jim want me to bring the camera and document everything. So I guess there will be some new LO's coming. I have to unload the photos in the camera of the rest of the pool saga and work on them too.

I had a surprise e-mail today from my son, David. He thought yesterday was my birthday and was apologizing for being late when in fact he is a month early. Right now Noble Oil has him over in China working on his new ship. He is not impressed with the Chinese work on it as it seems they have no idea what levels, tape measures etc are. He said it will take years to fix things on the rig. This is one of the large ships that has an oil drilling rig. Once ready it will be moved to off the coast of Brazil where it will become the ship he will work from. He finally did get his promotion and raise. He reports that the food is terrible there and you are never sure what you are eating. LOL could have warned him on that. Also sanitary things are non existing. Toilets in restaurants don't exist as we know them just holes and people don't use them but just go in the streets. Big culture shock for him. Yuko.

Even though he was off on the date I was thrilled to hear from him. When I was married to Cliff he or Dawn would call once or twice a week and I would hop in the car at least once a month to go either to CT when he was there and I in NH or when I was in FL to GA when he was in Kingsbay. Now that I have Jim I only hear once in a while from them. They know I'm happy and safe unlike when I was with Cliff. They disliked each other a lot. I do miss talking to them but both of us seem to be busy with our lives. I do wish we were living closer together. When we planned the move to TN Dave was thinking of the Atlanta area so we picked Crosseville, TN. Then he talked about maybe staying in Seattle,WA ...that didn't last long though and after a few years they wanted to go back to Kingsland, GA and we settled in Waverly,TN. Now of course Jim's railroad seems to be finding lines out west or in the Midwest so now living in TN works. Who knows what happens in the future. I figured out long ago you can't live for your adult kids as they have their own lives but it sure would be nice to see and hear from them more. The good thing is I had some great times with them when I was in FL and they were in GA. Jim and I traveled to GA a lot then and I do miss that.

Well enough thinking of the past for now.
