Don't think I mentioned we went to visit Terri (our conductor) at her other job at the Humane Society. I was lost..they had kittens. Their was a brother and sister ,born there a tiger and a pewter grey and another younger tiger that I held for quite awhile. The little pewter kitten kept reaching for me and I really felt sorry for it. When it wasn't reaching for me it was kneading her blankie and watching me. It seemed she was saying 'Take Me","Take Me". Of our three at home Shadow is the kneader and I couldn't help thinking how much like her she was. We don't neen another kitty but I can't help thinking about them. Terri says no one is ever put down there but kept till adopted and after 90 days it is free and already neutered or spayed. till then they are $30 plus a $50 spay/neuter fee which is refunded to you with proof. Glad I had no cash on me. LOL.
We have managed 3 latte runs so far plus one Chilli visit which was very disapointing. I had ordered a Cobb Salad with a cup of my favorite Broccoli cheese soup. I was told the soup was not ready yet. "What at one thirty?" It would be served with the salad. After just about finishing my meiocre salad the soup arrived. It was like "slop" very watery slop at that with broccoli thrown in. I called the waitress back and asked her if Chili's had changed their famous soup recipe and she said no. i told her I ordered it all the time and this wasn't acceptable at all. She said she was sorry and said it mustn't have been ready yet and returned with another cup which was thicker but still terrible. I didn't eat it either and it was taken off my bill. We were sitting witin site of the kitchen and I was able to watch while one person walkied around with his cell phone while working one handed and others wandered around lost. That told me either they needed a new kitchen manager or there wasn't one there at all. Any kitchen manager that runs out of soup without first making a new batch doesn't know his job. When I got home I sent off a "cutting" reply about my visit. I also mentioned that in most restaurants the manager would come to the table if a complaint was made...this wasn't done either. In my opinion this is the poorest run Chili's. We go there often as it is the only name restaurant around ....it has been found substandard this way many times. Oh well at least the marguerita was excellent. LOL
