Can't believe it I haven't blogged forever. I haven't been able to do a whole lot scrapbook wise or tag wise as I can't seem to stay seated for long and be comfortable. This week I spent running from Dr;s offices to the hospital as I ready for surgery. Jim is now on the way home and should be here about 6 PM. Tomorrow we have running around to do as I need to renew all my meds as for the next 6 weeks I will be virtually out of commission.
Surgery on my hip is scheduled for this Monday Jan.25..not sure of time yet should hear about that today. I'll be in the hospital for 4-5 days and then they would like me to go to a rehab center and stay there for somewhere between one to two weeks. That's three weeks out of my life.... I was expecting the rehab stuff or the instructions I got relating to what I can or can not do for the next 6 weeks. ARGH what have I gotten myself into here. Not only this but Jim has to change his life around too. He needs to be with me during this time and here I thought in two weeks I would be back to normal. Oh well.
It will be worth it to be able to sit and walk without pain. Well almost...I still have the back pain to worry about but have managed that for over 20 years now. I'm hoping by May to be able to be riding again and training Lady.
Speaking of Lady we are steadily bonding again. She gives me kisses with each meal. LOL kiss food...food. kiss
but she does show curiosity when I am out in the pasture and will come to watch me...this is progress. Molly too gives some lovin not to be out done. Tracy and I have been talking about a pasture mate for her and have now narrowed it down to Buddy. Buddy is a lady's man like Tuff and I think Lady will love him. Buddy now and I are old buds as he used to visit me when they used the pasture behind the house. So that might be just what she needs a man to look up to. LOL Also the thing that we just might be able to school Buddy for riding too,,,then Jim will have a horse to ride. Tracy has been trying to weed out her herd. Lahautin will be going to her cousin in OR and the two Standard Breds Cal and Cool will be going back to rehab.....Little Man and Gypsy also might have new homes. that takes five and maybe 6 out of the herd leaving Ziggy, Tuff, and the two mules Sam and Kate.. A lot easier for her to handle. money and time wise.
