Another day in the neighborhood

It takes me a few days to get used to Jim not being here. he arrived safe in OK about 10:30 last night making good time and even doing a conference call along the way. he called when he got there and we MSN'd this AM. He and Dave (conductor) have a very busy day doing some track work. The temp is going to be about 104 degrees there, so I hope they get it done early.
I won't even consider what it's going to be here...at least that according to the Cicadas.

I finally was in a creative mood so I sat down in the "cool room" to work. I still haven't gotten used to Vista and hadn't tried my PSE5 on it yet. Oh Boy! Bill Gates you haven't made a lot of friends this time out, have you? It hates PSE5, so this AM I downloaded a patch for 5.2 that is supposed to be Vista friendly. I hope so. My dream is to be able to upgrade to PS C3, but that will have to wait a bit since I'm nowhere near ready to branch out. I also have PSP8 but still haven't mastered it. I believe my friend Tracy is using one of the PSP versions in her work. When I was working and could afford to play, I was a software addict. At any one time I probably had about 5 photo programs at a time...master of none but DIP, which by the way I can't stand anymore. My how time changes us.

I managed to go in and arrange my files so I can keep the Quick Pages separate and ready to Zip. I've worked with two kits so far. Terrell's Doreen's Greens (named for yours truly, BTW) and I believe the other is called Roses for Mother. I'm still finding it hard to make the QP's, which BTW is really easy, but I've a mental block on designing without pictures.

Terrell is working on more kits and I can't wait to see what she does. I'm a kit junkie. I have loads of freebies and bought kits, but never seem to use them anymore. I'm concentrating on just Terrell's things, but once in a while will throw something else in the pot. I've loved her things from the get go.

I got a letter from my cousin David ,in Scotland yesterday. It seems since I changed my E-mail address he's been having difficulty sending me mail and had to revert to the flying snail. There seems to be a problem with his IP timing out. I guess it doesn't like hughes.net.

David has sent me some wonderful photos that I use. He has given me his permission to use them in my work and I give him credit when I post. In my slide (above) Motion and Elizabethan Lady are his prize winning photo's. he is now having a local shop frame and sell his work and is looking into having a gallery show of his photo's. I've been encouraging him to do so as his work is excellent. I love to get his photo's of the Scottish landscapes, including the ocean, castles and flowers. He has also included members of his family, including his doggies. I've done a few of his dog Tasha.

TerrellS gallery is up at Stone Accents, but I didn't find it when I posted my favorite TerrellS LO's. I must be looking in the wrong place as Terrell asked me why I didn't put them there. I went through my LO's and found about 30 of them but only posted a few. Tracy on the other hand has tons of LO's done, that girl is a LO machine. I don't know how she does it. She has used her wedding pictures in such creative ways that some of them look new each time I see them..just by the kit she uses. I think I enjoy those the most. It just shows how radiant she is. I love the ones of her and Michael and the ones of her son. I really love them all but I just happen to love family. You really should check her blog as she too has a slide with her work.

Check out TerrellS blog too and see what is going on there. She's got a few slides with Lo's as well as her kits that we use.

You can find them on the side of my blog, under friends blogs just click on them.

Something new is coming, The Digi Trinity. It's a site for just TerrellS CT. Terrell is still working on it but it will be exclusive to only her designs and our creations with them. We haven't posted as yet but I will keep you informed of it's progress.

I hope y'all will check my blog regularly. I've designed it so all my friends can keep up with me, not just my scrap buddies. But scrapping is a major part of my life, now and I want to share this with you. You can leave comments too, just click on the comment word and add your message so I know you've been here. You just put your name and list yourself as other if you don't have a google account. I've put this note here as a lot of my non scrappin buddies don't blog. you know you all are important to me. Jo, Suebunny, Doc, Les, Carol, Barb,Dave,Dave&Dawn that means you too. I want to know you've visited, too.

OK later..I've got to see if the PSE5 patch worked.

Hi lady-

Thought I'd drop by and say Hi! It's such an ordeal for me to leave a comment at blogger since, for me, the instructions are all in German...that I don't do it nearly as often as I should. You sound like you're feeling a bit better...I'm glad. Take care, my friend...marcy
