Tuesday my friend Joyce told me she was moving. Such a bummer as we have just met and I really liked her and her husband. She was born in Scotland and Jim had a lot of fun talking to her about his second favorite country. Her husband Rob is a very quiet man but also quite likable. She feels that Waverly doesn't offer her what she really needs. She's a real social person and misses the malls , playhouses and even the gambling casino's etc. She's made a lot of friends in Waverly that will miss her. Anyway, she invited me to a Christmas lunch on Thursday at the Daily Bread. Feeling so much better I went. Yes, I did, me who goes no where by herself, agreed to join some strangers and a few people I had seen at the Coffee Cabinet and the Bread (remember they share the same building). I let the secret Doreen out LOL, the one who is people friendly and self assured. She doesn't show herself much outside of her safe place. A place where she is used to. Usually the quiet one is out. That Doreen suffers from that weird thing that won't let her go to strange places. Weird I know, but I've had this since I was a little kid. Some people are very surprised to hear this. Hey, what can I tell you. It comes and goes and sometimes I really have to force my inner self out. Usually I'm with Jim and his personality is such that most people don't notice mine. He's such a social person and can talk to anyone without even trying. I envy this. But like I said once I'm used to a place or person I'm fine.
Anyway, I had a great time. Janet (Daily Bread) had decorated the back room beautifully. Tables and tree etc. I did get some pictures that I'll play with at a later time. We had a delicious lunch of Salad, crab and shrimp Alfredo with a side of asparagus or broccoli or both (in my case), crusty French garlic bread and then dessert was luscious Italian cake , petite fours or toffee mousse. Coffee as provided by the Coffee Cabinet.
I came home and was feeling well enough to even do a LO from TerrellS and ShannonF's new collaborated kit...Cozy Christmas. I chose to start on a LO of Shadow and her first Christmas tree. It stems from Christmas 2003 which was Dinkie's last Christmas with us. We opted to stay home that year and give her a nice Christmas. She always loved Christmas. Shadow had a great time exploring the decorations.

I continued doing more LO's of Shadow's Christmas treat today. I guess my dry period is over and maybe my creative juices are running again. I wasn't happy with the first one but by the next LO things got better.

It feels good to be back. Oh I forgot I even did some crafting. I bought a large ornament and took it home and decorated it with ribbon etc for Joyce as a thank you for inviting me gift. It came out pretty good too. I do miss not having any place nearby to craft shop.
Well Scarlett tomorrow,,,,,,,
