more on Tom

Tom moved from his chair and slept in his little house and Pud stayed in the basket all night. I put the breakfast out for them and went about my work. When I came back Tom had gotten up and gone out, so I didn't see if he was able to walk or not. I found him late this afternoon just sitting pitifully near our woods, so I carried him pitifully mewing to the porch with faithful pud pud following him. I still think she is going our looking for him. We got a table cleaned off and layered with old towels and Jim brought him in and I cleaned it for him. He's the best cat I've ever seen as far as treating a wound,,,never cries and never moves. He let me clean it and put peroxide on it and then I fixed his bed on the porch and put him on the porch. We gave them special soft food to eat and he woofed it down with Puds help. Then I felt bad as he wanted to come back in. I really want to let them in but with our I can't and also they can't get used to this if we aren't going to be here. He at least is trying to put pressure on his leg again, but it still feels puffy, so not sure if there are more wounds. We'll see how he does tonight. I don't want him out if he can't protect himself. While in the house all three jumped up to see what we were doing the girls not minding a bit just curious but TJ got very vocal with that male cat yowl, so that kind of cinches why he can't stay. Jim just checked on him and he is sleeping in the smaller of the two little kitty houses we put on the porch and Pud Pud is laying on the top of one of them. I have shut the outside door in the hopes of keeping him in but it is still ajar and a wise cat could still pick it open. I'm hoping neither does.
